The founding story
It started at dinner. Daniel and I were at a newly opened Michelin-starred restaurant. They gave us a digital wine list. We selected a wine — out of stock. We selected another — out of stock again. We settled for our third choice.
Even at that level, the digital wine list had no connection to the actual cellar. If it was happening there, it was happening everywhere.
The next morning Daniel arrived with the idea fully formed: wine pairing built specifically for what a restaurant actually has. I stress-tested it from every angle. It held up. That moment became a wine app — and a surreal shower moment a few weeks later gave it its name. Entwine.
